Poor Yorick‘s Players brings intellectual and cultural growth to the Monroeville area through free outdoor performances of the works of William Shakespeare.
Formed in 2006, Poor Yorick’s Players are a non-profit organization fully funded by the public. All donations are tax deductible.
Poor Yorick’s Players challenges ourselves and our audience to grow intellectually and artistically through:
- Fair and honest business practices including fiscal responsibility
- Consideration of the entire canon of Shakespeare
- Creation of challenging yet interactive and engaging performances that are guided by text
- A supportive environment for artists to do their best work
- A collaborative process that engenders respect and values hard work and volunteerism
